Swedish pop wonder Pay TV is all fake.

The music and the concept of Pay TV is all stolen. The Belarussian underground electro duo Suicide TV claims that they released their 7” single ”Trendy Dizkoteque” already in 2002, a couple of years before Pay TV released their ”Trendy Discoteque”. Checking with the pressing plant where the record was manufactured proves that it is indeed the same song. Musical thefts are normally more subtile; stealing a phrase or a part of a melody, sometimes building a new song around a stolen sample, but never have music business heard about someone taking a full song, already released, recording it and claiming it to be new. And on top of it all the name Pay TV is very similar to Suicude TV. The Belarusian duo don’t work with their musical carrier any longer as they are full time medical students, but they are upset by the obvious theft of the their song. They are aiming to make a settlement directly with the Swedish girl trio, without going to trial. Pay TV will have to give Suicide TV a fair financial compensation and also give up all rights to their hit ”Trendy Discoteque” (Reuter)”

Yes, we do sing about the same topic but look att their make-up! And they smoke on the record cover, how fresh is that? We had one of the hottest designers in the World to make our outfits for that single, these girls look like some Belarussian medical students or something.

Download and listen for yourself.
